MHM! It's pretty reasonable. Also, the content prices seem to be discounted when you buy series bundle. I purchased the Skip Barber car and Infineon and VIR tracks to go with it. They should have amounted to like $60 but I ended up paying $54 I think. So, the $75 of bonus cash you get now is even more value.
And now two of the add-on tracks for the F-Mazda series are covered, so when I move up to that class, I just need 2 tracks and 1 car for a total of maybe another $50 or $60, part of which will already be covered by my credits.
iRacing goes public today. I hope we see some new features in todays update.
Yeah, unfortunately no new content. I was REALLY hoping they were going to surprise us with Sebring or something on release day but no such luck. The only interesting thing besides opening to the public is that they now have a referral program so that if someone signs up and supplies your iRacing account email address as a referrer, you will get $10 of iRacing cash as a bonus. I am signing my brother up tonight or tomorrow, so that's a welcome addition at least.
If people dont stop smaking me...i am quitting !!
i have almost had it...in the begining i was oh well..but now its just plain crapola.... is it better in the higher ranks ?? if so i will endure the crap until then!!
the AI's have better racing sense![]()
I've had fairly good experiences. There have been a few times where I have been victimized, but it's really not very often and it's part of racing even in real life. I am enjoying it and yes, I have found that the racing in the Barbers has been even cleaner than in the Solstices. For what it's worth, also, your rating or perhaps your qualifying time for the week will place you into races with people who are rated higher or are faster. Going by that rule, it's likely that as you improve your results, the quality of the drivers around you will get better as well unless you're racing at times where there's only enough drives for one grid anyways...
The racing has been really good for me. I have had a few bad races but most of my problems have been self inflicted.
There is a significant improvement in racing sense and hold-the-line-dont-hit-me skills in the advanced Solstice and even better in Skippy and above classes. You will get some overly aggressive drivers and the occasional driver who doesn't understand "right-to-corner" and/or blocking rules, but overall a good experience and some tight racing (if you get a strength-of-field near your skill level).
Those oval races are tuff expecially with the legends. I have my safety rating pretty high but I still suck in them.
I know on the road racing side of the house I got into a Skip Barber car and most of the time I'm in there with d class drivers (i'm still a rookie but I'm over the 4.0 required to run the skippy's) and its a blast!
Nose to tail racing and trusting the other driver. I'm still low on the totem pole but that first step has made a difference already.
