Default What Are You Racing in Season 4?

Since I've dropped out of the Pro Series (due to lack of a scheduled race time that works for me) I've decided to take a much more casual approach to iRacing. Instead of killing myself practicing a track each week I'm going to lay back and just have fun.

With the credit bonus I'm motivated to run the whole season but I'm not going to be racing for points or position. Of course, I'll be racing hard, but I'm not going to sacrifice sleep to practice like I was when I tried to run the pro series.

All that said I'm going to be running the Indy Car series! I'm really impressed with this car, and it was a hard choice between it and the 'Vette but I'm really looking forward to it. Between that and the truck series it should be a great season 4 at iRacing!

I just got my "D" class license in ovals, so I'm going to compete in the Late Model series. This will be my first opportunity to compete in a full season and I really enjoy driving those cars, although after my Legends experience, I'm a little nervous about taking a huge hit to my SR.

I also just received my "C" class license on road courses, but I'm not real excited about the car options for the class. I'll probably drive the Mazda to get my MPR, but I haven't decided if I'm going to do the entire season.

Of course, if I understand the Racing Participation Program correctly, I only need to participate in eight out of twelve weeks to qualify for the program. So, I figure at least one race a week in both the road/oval series and I should qualify for at least $8.00 in credits.

Besides the CMS Trucks of course I plan to run in the Indy Car Class A Series -- and maybe some of the COT Series Class A on Ovals -- and a few Truck Races Class C here and there ....

Since i didn't get promoted, it's the Star Mazda, Radical's and Impala B Class for me. With maybe some SK Modified thrown in for fun.

Speaking of the Mazda and Radical...I TT'd the Radical at Silverstone to complete my MPR last night. I was running in the 1:48's - 1:49's and the fastest guys were running 1:43's! Good grief!...so, I figured I'd take the ole Mazda out on the track at Road America, but I was unimpressed with it's handling. Maybe I just need a decent, but I really don't like either one of these cars. I thought I was going to like the Mazda, but it's really quite twitchy.

I think I'm going to just concentrate on the Late Models and go back to the Soltice or Jetta to get my SR over 4.0 again.

Jack of all trades, master of none here! I don't really concentrate on any one thing. I just run what I feel like at the time. I am in no danger of finishing first but it sure is fun to have so many choices!
