Default What Official Series are you participating in this season?

I pretty much took last season off, racing in only two official races, and I regretted it. This season I vow to participate quite a bit more, but I haven't decided which series to run. Mustang, C6R (Fixed), and V8 Supercar are near the top of the list. I wouldn't mind doing an oval series, maybe Nationwide (Fixed)? I'm not really a fan of fixed setup racing, but I figure it might be interesting. I was thinking about the DP again, but the races are just too long and I don't like the DP/Radical combo.

What are you guys going to run this season?

For this season, I probably participle several series:

    Oval:
    Late Model (some tracks)
    SK Modified (some tracks)
    Tour Modified (some tracks)
    Silverado (some tracks)
    Impala Class B (some tracks)
    Silver Crown (some tracks)

    Road:
    Star Mazda (full)
Ford V8 (depends on my mood)
Mustang (probably full or some who knows)
    I can go Jetta sometimes.

On oval tracks, I probably spend lot of time running several hot laps to learn how to control those slippery vehicles. I don’t like very small tracks such as Lanier or Oxford. As for Fixed series, I’ve raced Impala Class B at Daytona and it seems to have better setup than other tracks, but it’s still too slow.

I really wanted to improve my skill on road side and I’m getting better and better every time I practice it.

I also took most of last season off. This season I plan on running Trucks, fixed Impalla B (nationwide), and a little tour modified if I have time.

I think I am taking this season off, I am going to focus on the ILMS series here at CMS -- but I do plan to run some of the touring car series with you guys for the CMS league events.

Before the release of the Mustang I was pretty much fed up with the dwindling race fields of official races. If the 4-week cup series is any indication, however, the Mustang may just be the savior of iRacing's official racing. The car is great to race and fun as hell with the new transmission model (I'm actually faster with all aids off, albeit still struggling for consistency).

    so:

    Mustang (full)
C6R - fixed (I'll give the shorter races a try if race fields are decent. Probably won't make a whole season)

My plan is to run a full season in the Trucks and the Mustang, a few races in the fixed-setup Nationwide series, and possibly a few races in one of the open-wheelers, too, though I haven't really decided on that just yet.

After a few seasons of doing mostly practice sessions hopping from car to car, I'm looking forward to focusing on a smaller number this season and getting more actual racing in.

This season ill be running for Div 1 Skip Barber. I did pretty well in Div 2 so we'll see how it goes. I'm also contemplating a full season in the V8/Vette. The Vette is a lot of fun but its a bit easier to drive fast than the V8. I kind of like the challenge that the V8 brings in that respect and having to take care of the car through the race.

I'm also thinking of running a few truck races so ill be in practice sessions here and there.
