What do y'all think of the improvements to the Ford GT?
I didn't put a lot of time in but a few laps at Road America has me liking the feel of the Ford GT quite a bit. It feels much less understeery - likely due to nose downforce adjustments - and much more drive-able rather than manageable.
Felt like what I would expect a GT2 to feel like in comparison to the GT1 cars I've driven in iRacing and other sims.
Thoughts?

I havent had a chance to check it out yet Devin, but I am looking forward to testing the changes - DA

I did a 45min race at Suzuka in the Ford and it was better. Braking was much improved for sure, much less lockup. The snap oversteer is gone now - but I'm sure depends on setup, mine tend to understeer rather than oversteer.
Overall it is fun to drive, the braking thing for me was the biggest change...now you can brake like normal.

Did they update some of the basline setups with the new changes?

They do mention this:
- Now has all basic and fixed setups for all tracks used by this season's series.
So I assume they updated them, but not really sure.

Prior to the NTM I liked the Ford GT, I did not drive it a lot but I liked it, a very exciting car to drive a true torque monster, at the time I was tying to choose a car to move onto from a lot of racing in the Skip Barber. This was also the period of time when one of the NTM updates came out and IMHO was a huge step backwards for some cars, especially the Ford GT and C6 Corvette, the cars handled terribly, they had lost a huge amount of grip, to the point I did not enjoy driving them. I felt that I could not compete consistently in them. At this point I was pretty bummed. I was at a loss as to which road car I would concentrate on.
I was away from iRacing for approx 2 months this winter and when I updated iRacing with the major update from I believe January. The Ford GT and the Corvette were now much more drivable! The differences were huge, the Ford GT now felt planted, it handled well, power could be controlled. I was back on the track...a good setup obviously helps, but what I notice now I am able to work on my own setups and get the feedback from the car in such a way I can develop setups based on my driving style.
I am very happy with the "new" Ford GT...
Now the V8 Super Cars thats a whole other story...lol
