Should be fun. I'm using the fixed setup, 19.6 gallons, feels good. I can do 1:21's most of the time with almost full tank, but probably 1:22, 1:23 in the race since easy to go off here if not careful.

Tough tracks, Suzuka and now Mid-Ohio : )

Great win Christian. Great lap times...I could see you every once in a while : )

I was ok, but should we consider password protecting the race? Any restrictions on unknown participants available/needed?

Thanks for hosting John, was a lot of fun.

We used to have passworded host session couple seasons ago when we had lot of members. Now we get few and we're trying to keep it open so we have more people on host session and plus recuiting, too. Three guys came on host session at last minute (during qualifying session) and I didn't get better idea who they are.

We would consider returning passwording host session once we have enough members showing up every week.

I would prefer to have the races passworded, but I understand that leaving them open gets us more people in the field. However, what I do when I am connected to the server, is I keep a second screen up on a laptop, logged into iRacing and if the driver that connects has less than 1000 iRating and / or are ROOKIE class, I boot them. I have found there is a high degree of chance that you dont want those guys on the server to begin with. Also, I think the best thing we can do is recruit and spread the word about our series via word of mouth. Tell your friends on iRacing or anytime you are in a good open race with someone and you enjoy racing with them, stick around a little longer after the race, or send them a PM and let them know about our league. It really helps. -- also guys sorry I havent personally made the last few races, but I am hoping to get back in them as soon as possible.

As far as passwording the server sooner than later, John that's your call but I would support it either way. At minimum if we leave it open I think we should be monitoring as I described who connects and who we allow to stay based on those iRating and class guidelines. I wish iRacing would allow us to require a minimum iRating and/or class in the hosted setup before even allowing the person to connect.

Yeah, we do get some great people who enjoyed racing with us but don't want to become CMS member. Remember we do get few real life professional racers on our host session!

I ate the wall at last turn of lap 1 when I got a bit too eager on the throttle trying to get a run on Steven, so I left early. Was there some shenannigans after I left?

I MUCH prefer to keep these races open as usually half or more than half of our fields come from non-CMS members of whom the vast majority have been good, respectful racers.
