    Default Touring Car Series - SERIES INFORMATION

    Touring Car Series

    Schedule



    Series Structure
    • Twenty races, on ten tracks, over a twelve week period.
    • Two races at each track on consecutive Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
    • Two classes - Grand Sport(GS) and Street Stock(SS). (Mustand GS / Solstice SS)*
    • A driver's best 10 results, in each class, will count towards Class Championship.
    • A drivers combined points from each class will determine points for the overall Overall Championship.
    • No minimum or maximum number of times a driver may compete in either class.
    • No Provisional Starts.
    * - Champion Motorsports reserves the right to substitute cars representing either class.

    Race Dates/Times
    Tuesday/Wednesday
    8:20pm EDT (40 Minute open practice)
    9:00pm EDT (2 Laps closed qualifying)
    9:05pm EDT (STANDING START)

    Race Points (Per class)
    1st place pays 10
    2nd place pays 8
    3rd place pays 6
    4th place pays 5
    5th place pays 4
    6th place pays 3
    7th place pays 2
    8th place pays 1

    Bonus Points
    Finished Race: 1
    Race Winner: 1
    Finish Race w/No incidents: 1

    Shift -R Resets in iRacing
    Each driver will be allowed one(1) FAST Resets (Tow) per race.

    Driver Conduct
    All drivers are expected to abide by the rules and regulations that are clearly defined in the FIRST Sporting Code. There is zero tolerance for deliberate bad behavior, whether on or off track and failure to adhere to the Sporting Code will result in a permanent ban from Champion Motorsport events and serious offenses will include an official protest filed with iRacing. In addition, all race replays are reviewed, with special attention given to car-to-car contact and unsafe track re-entries. Those individuals who are habitually involded in car-to-car contact or unable to maintain proper car control during practice, qualifying, and race sessions, will be excluded from the series and banned from future events. In addition, all drivers are asked to respect others and refrain from excessive chat (text/voice) during qualifying and race sessions.
