I will be on the 8pm EST(0100GMT) practice server tonight. I hope to see you there. This is what I have for setup so far. I am running in the 1:39's.

Thanks for sharing Wes. I can't make it online tonight but I will try the setup for sure.

    Just saw this thread....

I tend to practice at fairly random times, but I wouldn't mind practicing with the boys. Post up a time in the evening EST when y'all plan to hit the practice server and I'll see you there.

As for setups - I find setup-guru.com a great place for setups. Volker Hackman and Wolfgang Woeder (spelling may be off on one or both of those) post their weekly setups and both are pretty good. My driving style seems to work best with WW's setups, so I use his. His setup for Laguna Seca helped get me into the top 1/3 of all qual times.

For SS Historic, I'm using more rear wing than his. WW setup has 30 rear and 24 front, but I found 23 front and 32 rear more stable in the fast turns. I've been running low 1.38s. I have been running short gears, but i found myself running out of gear at the end of the straight around turn 7 in the race. I'm going to try tall gear again to see how my times improve (or don't).

I got the hosing of my race career last night (10pm EST race) when I got video freeze on the LAST LAP with only about 1/8 of a lap to go while running 4th (would have been 98 points). Ended up with 11th.

I was in that race with you Devin. I wondered what happened to you. My best lap so far is 1.40.xxx.
I am using the default basic setup. I can run faster with the advanced but not nearly as stable for me.

Ahh, I'll have to start looking for you in the races, Ricky. Try this setup I tweaked from Wolfgang Woeder's. Quite stable and fast through through the turns. see you on the track.

I tried the setup, I took some ideas from it and settled on this setup for now. I finally got into the 38's in race trim with this one. I went back to the long gearing. It just seems to matchup with the corners better.
