Default Phillip Island in the Acura LMP2 (iRacing)

What kind of lap times are you guys looking at in the LMP2 Acura at Phillip Island, I am trying to get a baseline for what I should be shooting for in this car -- it's a really neat layout. I didnt own the track until this week so trying to learn it for Weds.

I'm in the 1:18 1:19 with full fuel and with qual in low 17. Easy to make a mistake here and mess up race though, so I'd say low 1:19's for race pace would be very good if consistent....of course never raced an LMP here Will see how it goes tomorrow.

ok I did some testing this afternoon while I was supposed to be working from home (yeah right) and I am around where you guys are -- low 1:19's in race trim, so we'll see if I can keep it under me, it's a fast and fun track but one mistake and you are done ..

Wow, was a tough race. Congrats to David on the win. Great average lap time. Very hard for me to be consistent here, had a number of spins and offs but luckily no damage...almost though.

Had small 0x contact with Devin, hope it didn't cause any damage to your car, sorry about that. My braking on this track was not so smooth.

Overall a blast in this car/track. Thanks for another fun week of racing. Looks like 1st place is still up for grabs for next week...season is coming to a close. Should be fun next week, gotta learn a new track

Thanks Steven, I was very happy to just be consistent and not make any mistakes at this track and it paid off. I was really enjoying the first several laps with all of us really close, that was intense, and challenging trying to race yet not make a mistake. I had not raced at this track before and now it's one of my new favorites! Very fun layout it flows really well once you get the hang of it.

    Grats again David.

Gotta say - i was just getting comfortable too. Then i ran the wide line that Steven was running through T5(?) - the super tight section on the back side of the track. Aaaand it just didnt turn lol. Pushed right off into the wall. Oh wells - wasnt really expecting to finish but i was expecting to make it a few laps lol.

    Til next time!
