Default iRacing to sponsor Ambrose at Pocono..

July 28,2009 - MARCOS AMBROSE AND JTG DAUGHERTY RACING FLY THE iRACING COLORS AT POCONO
iRacers will have a rooting interest during NASCAR’s Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway on August 1 when Marcos Ambrose flies the red, white and blue logo of iRacing.com as principle sponsor of JTG Daugherty Racing’s Sprint Cup Toyota Camry.

The sponsorship is the result of an exciting partnership between iRacing.com and JTG Daugherty Racing owners Jodie and Tad Geschickter and Brad Dougherty that will boost exposure for iRacing among the more than 80,000 spectators in attendance at Pocono and the millions of NASCAR fans expected to watch the telecast of the race on ESPN or listen to the radio broadcast on MRN.

In order to encourage some of those fans to join the iRacing community, we are offering a special promotion for just five days. From July 31 through August 4, new members will receive a three month membership for just $25 – including a Chevrolet Impala SS as raced in the NASCAR Sprint Cup. So if you have any friends who are on the fence about joining the iRacing family, let them know there’ll never be a better time than during this celebration of Marcos Ambrose and the iRacing.com Toyota Camry.

Ambrose, of course, is one of iRacing’s biggest supporters and has made a significant contribution to the spread of our popularity throughout his native Australia. The two-time Australian V8 Super Car champion has earned four top-10 NASCAR Sprint Cup finishes so far in 2009, including a third place at Infineon Raceway and a sixth-place finish earlier this summer at Pocono. He figures to be especially well-prepared for the Pennsylvania 500, thanks to the fact that iRacing has supplied him with a pre-release version of its virtual Pocono Raceway so that he can get in as many practice laps as necessary before he arrives at the track.

"I will be getting a head start on the competition by practicing on iRacing before heading to the track to try and get every advantage I can," Ambrose said. “Making sure I’m fully up to speed the first time I roll out of the pits on Friday means that we’ll have more laps to focus on getting the car absolutely right.”

Yea, that is not exactly a "secondary" sponsor thrown on the bumper is it??
Thanks for the pic. I had not seen the car before.

Very cool car would love to have a Die Cast of that. If you guys remember a few years ago before the service launched they sponsored Todd Bodine in a NASCAR Truck Race at Daytona during Speedweeks and if I am not mistaken I think he won the race.
