    Default iRacing Slump

I am having horrible races lately. Since I joined the service, My safety rating and iRating have continually climbed. But the last three races have just been absolute disasters. I have gone from an A license 3.7 safety rating to a 2.4.

I gotta snap out of it.

The good thing about it Wes is I think as you get lower in a certain license it is easier to gain it back. For instance if you get down to 2 or so you might gain .04 or something in a situation where you might lose some SR if you were a high A. At least I think that is how it works. lol

I ran a 30 minute time trial in the Nationwide car the other day and I slid sideways on the last lap for a 2X and only gained .01 ! At the time I was ticked but the more I think about the more I think in the long run it makes everyone safer drivers.
When I first started iRacing I thought the system discouraged hard racing for fear of losing SR but if you pick your spots it does not kill you to get aggressive every so often and stick your nose in there. If you get aggressive all the time then if will hurt you as is should. (in my opinion)

I'm not complaining about the system. I just can't seem to have a good race lately. It's completely my fault for the most part.

It all started because I wasn't qualifying for races. I was having fun moving up through the pack. Then I got caught up in a few messes. However, this last one was completely my fault because I was sitting on pole and threw it away.

Oh well, I will turn it around. I hope.

I finally had a good race on Monday. Finished 2nd and set the fastest lap of the race. I caught the leader, but just couldn't find a way by and I didn't want to throw away a good finish going for the win.

Maybe now I can get back on track and keep my head in the game.
