Default I almost pulled it off Daytona 500 Part 2 Stories :)

Well I almost pulled it off guys, I was so excited as I felt it was going to happen. I was up to 3rd place with just a few laps left in the Daytona 500 tonight and believe it or not I had ZERO incidents at that point. I have to begin with a lot of credit to Calum McNicol and the setup he shared at the CMS practice. I used that setup and it was hooked up. I layed around in back until about 60 laps to go then started to slowly work my way up to the front. I found a couple of guys to work with me during the whole race on strategy so that really helped. With just a little left to go, I was contending for the win, and then of course 2 of the other contenders hooked and I got collected. I finished 8th (on the lead lap).

Here is a pic of the CMS Gatorade Car going for it with less than 10 to go! (Middle)

we had 13 cautions, most of which were in the first 50 laps of the race of course, once that was over with it was a ton of fun. IT was my first time to ever run a 500 mile race in one setting with 40 other cars!! WOW way cool!

I see that Jacques and Calum both raced, looks like unfortunately with DNF's or lots of laps down -- anyone else get a chance to run that I missed?

Great job David! I was going to run the race myself, but I completely forgot about it and I'm sorry I missed it.

I just did my first Prototype race at Sebring. The track is nothing like the rF version and I had to unlearn some bad habits.

I'm looking forward to this race!

Grats on the good finish, David, too bad for the luck at the end.

I have to ask: How long did your race actually go?

I think it was about 3:45 minutes from what I remember.
