    Default First DP win!

No pic's but trust me it was a blast! Started 3rd in the second split and was pushing hard to keep 2nd place most of the race. Started to realize the leader was saving fuel so I set about pushing harded than I was comfortable with. Caught the leader w/2 to go and we swapped the lead twice when comimg onto the backstretch on the last lap he started sputtering and I starting to breath for the first time in 3 minutes.

Awesome Scott! Sorry I missed it. I stayed up and caught the 1130 race and finished third. My best finish ever in a DP (Woo hoo), but that pales in comparison to the top of the podium! WELL DONE!

btw (Scott) - What in the hell are you doing in division seven?!? You are a dirty, dirty, sandbagger.

Hell, I got bumped from 5th to 2nd division and I never finished better than 4th place all last season!

Funny thing about these new and "Improved" divisions, I got my ass handed to me by some named Martin Bissonette last night. He didn't win, but he was damned fast.

I think he's another dirty division seven sandbagger too!

SR/iR has taken a beating recently plus I suck so I moved up to 7 from 9, I couldn't be more excited :-/

When I got your set last night I got one at the same time from Jake McDermott. After trying to drive yours I tried his and in really made the DP come to life. It uses a long first gear that really worked for me. I've raced w/ Martin and he's pretty fast and of course he's in my division

try this Troy and congrats on the podium!

Thanks, I'll definitely give that setup a test. I'm still tweaking my Daytona setup; I'm not completely happy with my gearing or fuel load. That's mostly because Martin was KILLING me me on the oval. Of course, at this point, I don't think it's the setup that's holding me back. I'm pretty sure I know where I'm losing time and until there's an "Increase Talent" setting added to the garage settings, I'm going to get my ass handed to me this season in Div 2.

btw - I assume with Jake's setup to take T1 in first gear? I use 2nd gear with my current setup.

    Default Scott...check it out...

After you posted your setup, I wanted to see how our lap times compared from last night.

    Daytona 2010S2
    Scott
    Avg. / Fastest
    1:43.782 / 1:42.608

    Troy
    Avg. / Fastest
    1:43.768 / 1:42.821

That's pretty damned close! So, I decided to check out the results from season one.

    Daytona 2010S1
    Scott
    Avg. / Fastest
    1:42.828* / 1:40.874 (* Ran out of fuel)

    Troy
    Avg. / Fastest
    1:41.990 / 1:41.129

Pretty close again. I remember you pulling away from me there until you ran out of fuel. However, notice the trend? We're quite a bit slower in season 2...that's odd. What's changed?
