The 2011 Season 1 Champion Motorsports iRacing Mustang Challenge came to an end tonight with a great season finale at Spa. The season featured 12 excellent races, and an exciting set of events and battles for the Championship. Returning to CMS after a break last season Evan Maillard would take the win in the race tonight at Spa. Evan is a very skilled iRacing driver, sporting a 5000+ iRating and he proved his skill tonight, with a very quick win at the Challenging Spa Circuit. David Massieux completed a French 1-2 with the 2nd place finish. It was great having David with us again tonight as he shared one of his excellent Mustang Setups with the field - thanks David!

Finishing 3rd to complete the podium was Charles Stout. The 3rd place finish for Stout would clinch the Championship for Devin Obrien. Stout would have needed to win the race, run up front for the most laps and get max bonus points to win, but would fall short despite a great run at Spa.

That leaves Devin Obrien as our season 1 champion. Devin drove a fantastic season and was simply the best and most consistent driver all year with 3 wins and a whole bunch of solid runs. Congratulations Devin on a great season. Winning an iRacing Championship of this nature was not easy and is definitely something to be proud of!

We will now be taking a week off, and then getting right back on the Saddle as season 2 will be starting soon and we are very excited to bring the Riley Daytona Prototype to CMS as our next featured car!
