Daytona Felt Like I won Something - Lol! 5th Place!

Tonight when I got home from work the house was quiet and I decided to turn a few laps at Daytona. I noticed at about 6:15 there was a decent size grid forming for the Daytona Road Course Prototype Event. I said what the hell and decided to race as I was decently comfortable last night after practicing with Ricky Proffer and some other guys online. What turned out was I ended up getting probably my most ever points scored in an iRacing event and finished 5th overall in a 2656 Strength of Field Race. There were 6 Pro Series Drivers on the Grid, I would beat 2 of them and be the first non pro series driver in the final results as the 4 aliens finished ahead of me. Most of all I felt like I was decently fast running consistent 1:43.xxx second laps in race trim.

I just ran a time trial and completed about 12 laps with no incidents so I am almost confident enough to join a race. lol
I will probably wait til later in the week.

How many cars does it take to make the race official??
It used to be on every series home page but they took it off of some of them.

Thanks guys it was probably my best overall run ever at iRacing.... I've won a few races but they have been against fields that were not as tough as this one -- or in less powerful cars. I felt pretty good to have a solid 5th. Gives me some nice early confidence that maybe I can do well in the Riley this year.

you should Troy it's a great platform and the work you do now getting your license up will be relevant when we have a CMS iRacing league. It's not if they will do leagues it's simply when and the more drivers we have interested in the service that work to get their licenses up the more cars and tracks we will be able to choose from for our events.
