Texas Motor Speedway:
Round 1 of the Chase for the Championship had 20 cars take the green flag for the 167 lap event. Three CMS drivers took the green; Corey Card, Calum McNicol, and Neil Frohlich.
Corey's chance at a win and a nice start to the chase looked like a strong possibility with Corey running in the top 5 most of the race and he even put the Popsicle Chevy Silverado out front for a total of 8 laps.
Unfortunatly the bad luck that has followed Corey all season reappeared with 5 laps to go as his truck got tight out of turn two, slapping the outside wall sending him into an uncontrolled spin severly damaging his truck.
Corey finished a disappointing 13th, Calum 5th, and Neil 6th
This Friday nights race is at Talledega as Corey will try and miss the BIG ONE and get right back in the title contention.
