    ABOUT THE CMS Grand Am Prototype SERIES
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The Champion Motorsports Grand-Am Sports Car series is a twelve week race series featuring the Riley Daytona Prototype from iRacing, which is one of the fastest and most popular simulation cars available to iRacing subscribers.
    The series is open to all Champion Motorsports League members and non-members with at least a "D" class road course license. The series will race every Wednesday, on twelve different tracks. The series begins on May 4th and run for 12 weeks through the Summer 2011.

    Format

    9:00pm EDT (30 Minute open practice)

    9:30pm EDT (2 laps closed qualifying)

    9:40pm EDT (Standing start)


    Race Points

    1st - 35 points 11th - 20 points 21st - 10 points
    2nd - 32 points 12th - 19 points 22nd - 9 points
    3rd - 30 points 13th - 18 points 23rd - 8 points
    4th - 28 points 14th - 17 points 24th - 7 points
    5th - 26 points 15th - 16 points 25th - 6 points
    6th - 25 points 16th - 15 points 26th - 5 points
    7th - 24 points 17th - 14 points 27th - 4 points
    8th - 23 points 18th - 13 points 28th - 3 points
    9th - 22 points 19th - 12 points 29th - 2 points
    10th - 21 points 20th - 11 points 30th - 1 point

    No bonus points are awarded for qualifying, fastest race laps or improved positions in a race.
    5 Points will be awarded to drivers finishing the race with Zero Incidents

    Drivers must complete 50% of race laps to score points

    Shift -R Resets in iRacing

    Each driver will be allowed one (1) FAST Resets (Tow) per race.

    Driver Conduct

    All drivers are expected to abide by the rules and regulations that are clearly defined in the FIRST Sporting Code. Drivers are asked to respect others and refrain from excessive chat (text/voice) during qualifying and race sessions.

    It seems like my goal to finish last place in the point of this season went backward.

    I just remembered that I still have admin rights on the iRacing League Scoring system, so I took the liberty of posting the results from the VIR race.

    Congrats to Charles on winning the Championship by a mere three points!
