CMS Mustangs Roar into Mid Ohio -- With another First Time Winner!

The Champion Motorsports Wednesday Night iRacing Mustang Challenge roared into Mid Ohio this week for what turned out to be another fun and exciting race. The series is really beginning to take shape with a regular entry list in the field week after week as well as a smattering of new drivers joining us. The word is getting out that the racing is good and clean and hard and fast here at CMS and we look forward to many more races of this nature in the Mustangs for the rest of the season!

Congratulations to CMS newcomer Jonathan DiClemente for winning tonight at Mid Ohio in impressive fashion. This was Jonathan's first race with us and he was strong out of the gate, starting 2nd on the grid behind Simon Hill and taking control early for the race to lead all 20 laps. Jonathan was also the fast lap setter as well with a blistering 1:35.975 in his Mustang tonight.

Charles Stout would finish in 2nd position with another very strong run that would see him overtake 2nd position in the Championship Standings. The entire field would get a little closer to Devin Obrien this race with OBrien missing the event and not scoring any points. Robert Woloschuk would finish in 3rd tonight with a great run of his own. We would also like to thank Robert for being active in CMS iRacing member referrals to the community! Thank you Robert!

Next week we will go to Lime Rock Park for a 40 lapper that is sure to be very fast, furious and fun!! Cya there!

Sorry to miss it, I was out of town this week. Looks like a good one and Mid Ohio is always fun in the Mustangs.

Sorry I missed it. I'm down with a chest cold and was running a fever last night. Despite running some consistent laps the night before I couldn't put two laps together in the half hour before the race so I gave it a miss. I spectated for a bit .... some excellent racing!
