    Default CST Pedals Question

Somewhere on this forum,I read that a member built a DIY CST pedal set.I was considering purchasing a ready built 2-pedal set.My question is what are the advantages in brake and gas pedal modulation that make these pedals superior to the stock Logitech DFP pedals I am using now?I am sure the CST's are stronger built and will last forever but do they translate to lower lap times?

Jim..I'm not sure what a CST pedal is but i can tell you that the ECCI pedals will improve your lap times over just your basic plastic levers w/ a spring.
    ECCI Pedals
The ECCI pedal add-on kit looks like it costs $299.00 and is worth every penny.
ECCI has a braking system called "PMB Braking" and you would swear you were pushing on a real set of brakes.
The PMB Braking system is what gets you better lap times...no more locking up brakes... no more guessing when pushing on the brakes.
I have the whole ECCI setup(wheel and pedals) and HIGHLY recommend it.
I'm at LEAST a second faster per lap because of this setup

Bob, I see the ECCI pedals setup for Logitech and wonder do these pedals move on carpet since more force is needed to depress the pedal?Do ypu recommend the optional brake force setup or the base spring setup?

    No they don't move at all...these things way a ton..prolly 35lbs LOL
Also the "modulated" PMB system is what makes this feel so real...so yes I highly recommend the PMB option.(PMB makes it feel real)
Also the adjust ability of these pedals is almost endless.

Sim-Racing is my hobby...and has been for many years,I took the plunge a couple years ago and bought the whole ECCI setup.
I race in 5 leagues now.
I can tell you this...If I lost my ECCI setup and for some reason couldn't replace it..I would probably give up Sim-Racing
I started w/ the Logitech FFB wheels from the cheapest up to the Red MOMO.
They all seemed ok till I tried ECCI.
My Friend Rob just bought the new G25 setup..I went over and checked out...and I guess it's better than the earlier Logitechs but it still feels like a little plastic toy to me.
With the money Rob has spent on this new G25 and the Black and the RED MOMO's trying to find something nice he could have darn near bought the ECCI setup.

Charlie Fisher built a set of CST pedals http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=274437

FYI, I'm SERIOUSLY thinking of getting a set... I love the load cell braking concept.
