Tim Collier Gets a Great Win at Longbeach in the Champ Car Fun Series

Congratulations to Champion Motorsports Driver Tim Collier for a great win tonight at Longbeach in the CMS Champ Car Fun Series. Tonight was the first official race, and it was one that Tim had marked on his calendar because Longbeach is one of his favorite tracks off all-time and he showed everyone why tonight with a great win, as he would be the most consistent and smooth driver of the night -- which is critical to success at Longbeach.

Tim would take the win over Jerry McCommas in 2nd place. Jerry had an equally impressive run as he started in the back of the pack, and drove all the way up through the race to get a very well deserved 2nd place. Tyler Reidie would finish in 3rd to complete the podium. A total of 15 drivers would show-up for the race, and congratulations to Josh Smathers for his pole lap of a 1:02.859 which was blistering.

The next race will be on Sunday 6/22 at Cleveland, with the IDT version of the Track, sure enough to be another great event. We are very excited about this series and look forward to reporting on it each week after the events.
