Tim Collier Cruises to Fun Race Victory at Brands Hatch

Congratulations to Tim Collier for winning this week's Champion Fun Series Race; at Brands Hatch. Again we were in the Megane Cup Cars as we are in the midst of running a 5 race mini series in these. We had 11 drivers take the green flag and it was a good run from beginning to end. Paul Korbel and John Rowland made up the front row, but would both have early lap troubles. Paul would be able to work his way back for a 2nd place finish by night's end, but unfortunately for John his run would come up short with an accident. Tim Collier siezed the moment to move from 3rd to 1st on the opening lap, and he never looked back. Tim ran a mistake free race and had very quick lap times as well -- a winning combination. HIs AMD Megane from the Champion Team is pictured above! Congrats Tim!

It was only through the misfortune of others that I happen to get the lead in the first place...and Jim Best being nice on the start and backing off into Turn 1 when he started ahead of me....

Next week, Watkins Glen Long....should be interesting!

Thanks everyone that made the race last night, and can't wait to do it again next week!! We had 11 start the race, and maybe we'll have even more next time!
