    Default Take On Helicopters

I have been playing with the demo of this new-ish heli sim "Take On Helicopters". Really cool game, and lots of playability in the demo, worth checking out.

Here is a time trial around downtown Seattle, this took like 5 takes because I was trying to show off but kept crashing the heli lol

HAHA with a bunch of people trying to make it thru those little rings at once it would be "boom" indeed

Are there Blue thunder and Air Wolf mods available?

I always wondered which one was cooler, and would win in a fight when I was around 10.

Airwolf! Blue Thunder would be woefully out gunned, plus Airwolf could magically fly at speeds of up to mach 2. Roy Schneider wouldn't stand a chance.

I would have to go Airwolf too, altho can it do a loop?

I know their first DLC is combat helicopters, there are only 2 helis in the demo tho.

I don't know about outgunned. That 20mm Vulcan is a pretty powerful weapon. It'll take down a Mig 29 Fulcrum and those things are built like Tanks. However, I concede the magical mach 2 thing. Blue Thunder definitely can't do Mach 2. But it did take out an F-16. And I think it's definitely cooler and meaner looking. But I also think Airwolf is cool looking too. Airwolf also had a lot more kit onboard. It seems a bit more than the survellance kit Blue Thunder had.

I had a sweet 1/16th scale model of Blue Thunder. That was my first advanced skill model I built.

Yes, that 20mm chain gun is impressive, but Airwolf was equipped with a 30 mm Cannon (×2), .50 BMG Chain gun (×4) firing up to 40 rounds per sec. AGM-12 Bullpup missiles (×2), AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles (×12), AIM-95 Agile missiles (×4), AGM-45 Shrike missiles, M712 Copperhead shells, FIM-43 Redeye missiles, AGM-65 Maverick missiles, AGM-114 Hellfire missiles.

...and yes, Airwolf could do a loop.

Fun Fact: Blue Thunder was originally an Aérospatiale Gazelle, but the addition of all the extra body work on the nose made the real aircraft quite nose heavy and difficult to fly. So much so, that most of the "Stunt" flying was done by a model, because it was deemed too dangerous in the real Blue Thunder.
