The first official points race of the newly formed Lemans EU Series at Champion Motorsports got off to a great start today with two first time winners in the race. It's always special when we get a first time winner in the league, so to get two of them today was really a treat -- especially in the first points race of a new series that we are excited about! Congratulations to Stephen Bailey for winning the GT-1 Class and the Overall event at Dijon. Stephen would start 2nd on the Grid alongside Hein Houweling (Pole Sitter). He would end up leading almost every lap of the race in what was a pretty dominant win. Hein would manage a great race himself to finish 2nd, with David Anderson making his first appearance in the EU in a Corvette in 3rd place to complete the podium.

In the GT-2 class Paul Schuman would get his first win. Paul has been a great new member of the league over the past few months, racing in lots of events and steadily improving. He has also recently made the tough jump in controllers and is getting better and better each time he takes to the track. Paul would get a win over a competitive field of GT-2 cars. Jason Small would finish 2nd and Jerry Hamilton would finish 3rd in a great race within the class.
