Ricky Proffer Takes the Checkered in P1 at Monza in First Ever Champion GTR 2 Race (above)
GTR 2 is out and it's pretty damn cool too! The graphics are great, the cars are a blast to drive and handle great out of the box with the default setups. In early testing with 6-7 drivers the multiplayer seems to be holding up. More testing is needed, but we like what we see so far, and this new simulation from Simbin may be worthy of some additional playing and perhaps a fun race or two in the Champion Ranks!
Tonight we did a really fun test at Monza GP, and gave the cars a spin for a 35 minute timed race. Ricky Proffer was the Man in his GT Ferrari. He would make a late race pass on Jim Best who was driving the Lister Storm. Ricky would go on to win the race. Jim would finish 2nd and David Anderson in his Lambo would finish in P3. Mike Tribble; driving a BMW GT2 car would complete the race as well -- while consistently getting faster and faster each lap around the circuit. All in all it was a blast and congratulations to Ricky for leading the way to a cool victory. During the process Ricky also set the fastest lap at 1:47.437. We are definitely looking at what could be a new load of fun (in GTR 2) for our online racing enjoyment.

I saw a review over the weekend, that stated it was possibly the best racing game ever....PERIOD!!! That says a lot!

That was a blast! Thanks for hosting David. It was really close racing for those 10 laps or so where you, Jim and I were nose to tail.

Get it Ron, you won't be disappointed. It is a very nice game. I picked GTR2 and GTL up at Best Buy. GTR rang up at $14.99 and GTL was only $4.99!! Can't beat getting both of these for only $20.00!
