Cote Wins Overall, Anderson Leads GT Cars at Lemans in VCE Evolution/CMS Special Even

The Vice City Evolution / Champion Motorsports Special Event at Lemans was held tonight (GTR2) and it was a lot of fun and a success as well on the track! We want to first start by again thanking S. Charlie Gog for inviting the members of Champion Motorsports Community to participate in the event -- it was a good time! The race was a regularly scheduled points event for VCE members, but also had additional drivers from CMS and other communities to add to the multi class racing field at Historic Lemans.

Congratulations to Champion Motorsports Community Member Joseph Cote for the overall win! Joseph ran a great race qualifying in first and winning the event in his Mercedes CLR LMP Class Car. He would be followed by Jala Rebel from the VCE community and another CMS Community Member Lee Allen in 3rd. Joseph is a relatively new member to CMS and we were excited to see him have some early success on the track and know that with his talent we can expect him to continue to do well in future events.



Joseph Cote Takes the Win Overall at Historic Lemans! Congrats Joseph!



David Anderson from the Champion Motorsports Core Team would win the GT Class. There was a competitive group of 8 in the GTS and GT vehicles and David would make the right call on tires and strategy and get an advantage as a result and be able to take a comfortable win. He would be joined by Daryl Jiles and Paul Rein on the podium. The event was threatening Rain and many of the GT drivers started on Intermediate Tires which would prove to be a challenge early in the race. Anderson and Champion Motorsports Teammate Paul Rein had elected to add some downforce to the car and start on medium slicks. Fortunately for them it worked out as rain would hold off and never come in the event -- and they had a stable car that worked well. With Anderson, Jiles, and Rein on the podium it was a Porsche GT3 RSR sweep in the class.
