This week saw the Champion Motorsports ILMS GT Challenge Series return to the track at Dijon after several weeks of being off; due to the 4th of July Holidays in the USA as well as our Endurance League race at Spa. During the few weeks that we had not been on the track we were in a position to add some new members to the group and they helped contribute to a great race this week as everyone was excited to get back on the track and enjoy some racing. The Dijon race was one of the most competitive and clean of the year in the GT Challenge Series and we are pleased with how it went. We'd like to congratulate everyone for their great performances and finishes.
Don Fryman Leads the Pack into Turn 1 at the Start of Dijon -- The Race started at "Dusk" and ran into the Night
Drew McLean and Don Fryman continued their winning ways in each of the classes, as they continue to be the class of the field as both drivers work extremely hard and are very consistent and quick at each track. Drew would grab another GT-2 Win in his Porsche, and would be joined by newcomer Troy Dalton on the podium as well as Champion Motorsports Driver Tim Collier.
Don Fryman would get the overall win and the GT-1 class victory. Don would hold off Bob Dunlop and a very impressive Bob Eardley in 3rd as Eardley would start from the back of the grid and work up to the podium in the race. Here are the Race Results as well as the Race Stories Thread and the Server Replay from the event.
Next week we will see the 4 Class Series return to the track at Dijon as well in what is sure to be a fast and furious race with the LMP Cars to join the GT cars on the circuit! Goodluck everyone and lets have another great event.
