Post Champion Motorsports Presents Summer Champ Car Fun Series!

We are extremely excited about our latest Champion Fun Series edition, starting in June 2008 as we are bringing Champ Car - CART Racing to CMS! Everyone is welcome to attend, and race and we are now accepting new drivers. Here are the details on the series, which begins this month and we can't wait!

For those of you who are not familar with our Champion Motorsports Fun Series ... here is a quick overview. Fun races are just "that", purely for fun, laughs, and bragging rights. These events are an opportunity to run with friends (and make new ones) in a relaxed setting. You should not feel like you have to be a sim racing expert to participate in these, nor should you practice and prepare for hours on end for the race. The whole idea is to come and have a good time. We have been doing the fun series for approximately 2 years now, and have raced in some great cars and mods. We have a variety of skill levels in our series, from very experienced simulation racers, to newcomers. The Fun Series provides some of our best competition and memorable racing.

The Summer Champ Car Fun Series will consist of 6 Sunday night races (Long Beach, Cleveland, Portland, Fontana, Edmonton, & St. Petersburg). Right now there are over 20 entries ready for our first race & we want you to be a part of it!

The Series Will Start up on Sunday June 15th ... and run for 6 weeks per the following schedule.
    • Race #0 - Milwaukee Mile (OVAL) - Sunday June 8th (TEST Race)
    • Race #1 Long Beach - Sunday June 15
    • Race #2 Cleveland - Sunday June 22

    • Race #4 Fontana (OVAL) - Sunday July 13
    • Race #5 Edmonton - Sunday July 20
    • Race #6 - St. Petersburg - Sunday July 27

As noted the events will be on Sunday Nights. They will follow this schedule:

    • practice at 9pm EST
    • Qualifying at 10pm EST
    • Race at approximately 1020pm EST
    • Races Timed at 1 Hour (oval Race will be 150 miles)
    • road course races will have rolling start w/ formation lap
    • oval race will have a rolling start behind pace car

I think there is a great chance we could see that happen, perhaps some sort of bonus race!
