iRacing News - Wyatt Gooden attends CMS Touring Car race
August 17, 2010 ... MID OHIO, USA (CMS) - The name Wyatt Gooden should ring
very familiar with avid iRacers, as well as, fans of the real world VW TDI Cup.

Wyatt Gooden exiting "Keyhole" at Mid-Ohio. Gooden went on to win the Street Stock class.
For those of you unfamiliar with the young phenom, Wyatt was the winner of the
inaugural iRacing VW TDI Cup. Wyatt's success in iRacing ultimately earned him a
real world ride and he now competes in the official SCCA VW TDI Cup Series.
So, how is the sim racer turned real racer doing? Well, Wyatt got off to a bit of a
rocky start, but it was clear early on that he was not out of his element. Wyatt
quickly adapted to the car and in round five at Mid-Ohio, Wyatt stood on the top
step of the podium for the very first time. In doing so, he became the first rookie
to win in the series this season. He then went on to back up that success with a
second consecutive victory at Autobahn. Currently Wyatt leads the TDI Cup points
race and it's clear that the young man has a bright future in racing.
And to think it all started at iRacing...
