Congratulations to Wes Tribble for winning the first CMS iRacing Ford GT Race tonight at Silverstone. Wes was very quick and worked hard to get ready for this race, and that effort would pay off with the pole position, leading every lap, and the race win. It was a very impressive performance for the CMS veteran.



Wes would be followed by a strong field of regular CMS community members. Congratulations to Charles Stout in a familar podium finish in 2nd place, and to Kris Hudson in 3rd place. Also, completing the top 5 were also CMS regulars Devin Obrien and David Anderson.

The Ford GT is a new car on iRacing and is certainly a monster, it's tough to tame and can be a real challenge to get around the track consistently. With the new tire model and the heavy car the race rewards go to those that are the smoothest over the duration and make the fewest mistakes. Wes Tribble was about as perfect as it can get in that category tonight. We'd also like to congratulate both Wes and Kris Hudson for picking up the huge 5 point bonus each for finishing the race without incident tonight. Congrats guys!

Next week we head to Watkins Glen for the 2nd race of the season. It should be a great track for this car and we hope to learn more about the car, continue to all improve and have another great race.
