Dwayne Jans (P2), Brian Farmer (P1) and Scott Clark (GT) win in their respective class at Virginia International! Dwayne Jans (Spotted Cow Racing ARX-01B P2) drove a masterful race, taking 1st in class and the overall victory. Mike Tribble (Champion Motorsports PC60 Mazda P2) and Jerry Hamilton (HMI ARX-01B P2) finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Brian Farmer (Team Barista 908 P1) is able to recover from early damage, reclaiming 1st in class with Henry Hudson (Champion Motorsports EX264 P1) finishing 2nd and Philip Brown (Champion Motorsports EX264 P1) who seals 3rd for the P1 class.
For the GT blood-bucket-brigade, Scott Clark (Team Arctic Ford GT) simply dominated the field at Virginia, finishing 1st in class ... ahead of 2nd place finisher James Sharkus (Drunken Squirrel Racing 997 GT) and Jim Counter (Team DDP) for 3rd.
This was a very challenging race for all, as the Prototypes were simply flying (literally) over the crest of the rolling hills, approaching much slower GTs who had to navigate some very tricky turns using 4-wheel drift. There were some incredible battles occurring in all classes and equally devastating hi-speed crashes that dashed the hopes of many season-podium finishers.
Next week at Sebring will bring home airport racing as compared to the hilly road courses that have exhausted most of the league racers for the past 2 months. Good luck to everyone at the season finalé in both the 3-class and GT class races.
