Season Finalé at Sebring | 2010 NALMS S.2 | P1 - P2 - GT Class
A magnificent end to Season 2 NALMS - CMS!

What does the scent of victory smell like? Many will say that it has the mephitis odor of fresh lion kill on the high Savannah. Others will say that it has the fragrance akin to making love in the middle of a lilac field. All of these nasal interpretations are horribly wrong, as the scent of victory has the combined waft of gasoline, sweaty vinaigrette, diesel exhaust and burnt rubber! Let there be no mistake, the three who have bathed in this fetor are drenched in an aromatic concoction of their own splendor. Let everyone lift their noses high and toward the sky, as we deeply inhale the aroma of their ascendant win!
The first place finishers at Sebring are as follows:
► P1 class, Henry Hudson - Lola Judd EX264
► P2 class, Tim Collier (Acura ARX-01B)
► GT class, Scott Clark (Ford GT).

Henry Hudson would not be denied his 1st place position at Sebring. Taking pole with an unreal lap time of 1.41.793, he then redirects this momentum and leads all laps (except 1), placing consistent lap times in the mid 1.45s. Philip Brown was on an equally impressive mission, as he set out to prove that one can start dead last in each race and and still podium. Weaving his Lola Judd EX264 through GT and P2 traffic, Philip eventually finishes 3rd, just 1 lap behind our 2nd place Peugeot finisher, Mr. "Four Fuger" himself. Tim Collier was equally strong in his P2, finishing a lap ahead of the two marksmen Acuras. Nepotism shows no mercy as Chris Hamilton holds onto 2nd, putting a lap between himself and 3rd place finisher, Jerry Hamilton.

In the GT class, they were all driving on pins and needles as the "Terror of Tribble" was upon them for over 2.4+ hours. After taking the pole with a very fast lap time of 2.01.820, Scott Clark imposes his will against all other GT competitors, pulling incredible lap times in the high 2.02's, finishing 1 lap ahead of his nearest competitor, James Sharkus (Porsche 997). For every 15-20 laps, the tit-for-tat session between James and Tom reached tortuous levels as they exchanged positions on the Florida tarmac. Knowing that Sharkus got him in the end, Tom Cinnamon (Porsche 997) was seen cracking a smirk after he crossed the finish line in 3rd.

Now that we know what the scent of victory “smells” likes, the true question is what does a season championship "look" like after completing some of the most grueling tracks known to NALMS, such as Spa, Magny Course, Road America, Brianza, Road Atlanta, Algarve, Virginia and Sebring. The season back-markers will say that the victors will look like a group of snotty nose children after they've played a good game of kickball during recess. On the other extreme, the crew chiefs will insist that the victor will look like a bleak and dehydrated marathon runner from Ethiopia. But race stewards at CMS are correct when they say that this season's champion will look like the splitting image of Hermes himself! ... and if you've seen the prolific bust of those who did vanquish season 2 with extra fervor and zeal, then indeed it was the Mercurian trio of Jerry McComas, Jerry Hamilton and Scott Clark! With our left knee bent and our right hand clenching the hearts of our breastplate, we cast our eyes upon the likes of 2 Jerry's and a Scott, as they rest in glorious and triumphant victory! Hooora---Hooora---Hooora!! ... and let us march into Season 3 with arms locked and bandages removed.
