Nick Kershaw (ILMS C6-R GT: Corvette) wins the coveted GT class at Road America, displaying exquisite control and restraint amongst the faster gang of P1 & P2 prototypes.

Suffering for more than 1.5 hrs of intense racing, Kevin Wood (ILMS C6-R GT: Corvette) finishes 2nd behind Nick with Tom Cinnamon (Uranus Racing 997 GT: Porsche 997) rounding up the podium in 3rd."We had a number of excellent GT drivers who were accidentally disposed of by faster prototypes at Road America", exclaimed Nick, "but I kept to my line, forcing them to mark their pass attempt well in advance".
Within the P2 class, Dwayne Jans (Spotted Cow Racing ARX-01B P2: Acura) was able to thread-the-needle within thick traffic, winning 1st with Tim Collier (ILMS ARX-01B P2: Acura) trailing in 2nd and Jerry Hamilton (HMI ARX-01B P2: Acura) finishing in 3rd."The prototypes have it much easier than the GTs as we can control the speed upon approach, but good judgment is a must if you plan to race the faster cars. Sometimes the adrenaline rush will take a driver down the wrong path", warned Dwayne Jans, "but fortunately for me, I was able to keep the testosterone in check while taking the calculated risks needed to bring home the checkered flag".
JT Tami (Champion Racing R10 P1: Audi) wins again in the P1 class, with Jerry McComas (EcoFriendly Racing ARX-02A P1: Acura) and Paul Hamilton (ILMS S101M P1: Dome) rounding up 2nd and 3rd."I like to attack in traffic but this is only possible when you know the lines taken by the slower cars", boasted JT Tami, "but there are also times when I must hold back, and this take great control as the ramifications of not doing so can be disastrous to both the slower driver and myself".
