A bit of a short report this week as Press on! Rallysport had just two drivers hit the stages in week 19 of the Rallyesim championships. The results were good though, as both Justin Cady and Steven Spears had strong finishes and scored solid points for the team.

Steven returned to his favorite championship this week, competing in the Belgian Rallye des Hautes Fagnes. 258 crews started the 141.8 kilometers of special stages, spread over two days. As usual, the changing weather and surfaces made for plenty of challenge and a high attrition rate. Knowing it would be a long and tough rally, Steven took a fairly conservative approach and set consistent times on the first leg. Other than one incident with a berm that ended with the car on its side, the eight stages went without a hitch. Several strong competitors in the N3 class weren't as lucky however, as retirements piled up early - especially on the difficult Fouir stage (PTD Rallysprint), which the drivers would visit five times in the course of the rally.

The second leg featured 15 stages, with rain and darkness adding to the fun. Steven had one early incident at a rain-swollen ford that resulted in a spin and a stuck car, but after that everything went smoothly and he held a steady spot in the standings. He finished 41st overall and 3rd in the N3 class. Among those competing for the Rallyesim Fiesta Trophy he finished 2nd and solidified his standing for the year, moving within one point of 3rd place.

For the second week in a row, Justin Cady took on a France Tarmac Cup event, this time the Rallye de Pina Canale. He drove his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX to 12th place in the A8 class, finishing a very strong 69th overall. 399 drivers started the event.

For the week, PoR scored 220 points and moved back into 29th position among the 45 stables competing in the Rallyesim Championships.
