Neal Johnson dominates CMS LMS World Division 5 class at Road One!
"Resistance is futile"

The Alonso Johnson Racing's domination of the World, (CMS LMS World Division) that is, continues as Neal Johnson racks up another win in the CMS LMS World Division 5 class event at Road One! Neal would grab poll, set fast lap, and leed all but 21 laps on his way to victory. Even a lap 5 off road excursion and a lengthly stop for repairs were not enough to deny him the top spot on the podium. Finishing a well deserved 2nd in P1 was the rookie sensation Val Hoggard of Hoggard Racing who would also leed 18 laps of the event, and had closed to within 15 sec of Neal as they crossed the finish line.

Taking the 3rd and final spot on the P1 podium would be VonSterga Love Racing's Maximark Bradshaw.

It looked as if Team Barista's Brian Farmer "might" have something for Neal, at least enough to keep him honest, but it was not to be. Ironicly, Famer would write his car off completely when he encounterd a spun car in the middle of a blind right/left chicane just a few seconds before Neal had his off. In a post race interview Famer was over heard saying "drats, a waisted opportunity!" or.....something along those lines.

Back in P2 another talented new rookie Team UK's Nick Newcombe took 1st place, was 3rd overall, led 3 laps, and was only 19 seconds back from the leeder. Following in 2nd place was Paul Hamilton.

In GT Team Arctic's Scott Clark continued his winning ways, while another rookie to the World division, Clive Morrison brought it home for a solid 2nd, in what I beleive was his very 1st event here at CMS. Well done Clive!

In the GTC class Hein Houweling of Houweling Racing took the top spot followed by James Sharkus 2nd, and Martin Koehler in 3rd.

There were no entries in the LMPC class this weekend.
The next event in the CMS LMS World Division will be the GT Challenge event at Algarve on Sunday 03/27/11.
