    Arrow Hein Houweling Masters Algarve.

The ILMS World Division was at Algarve for its GT Challenge event.
This track is a bit like a rollercoaster ride, with many elevation changes along its winding length and is a very technical track to master.
But Hein Houweling mastered it very well by starting on pole and holding the OA and GT class 1st place right up to the checkered flag,[great drive Hein]
The GTC class win was taken by Paul Hamilton, who now leads that class in the standings.

I retired at 6 laps into the race as had not setup very well and was a moving chicane and a hazard to the other drivers.
Need to work on my setup and do more prac before thursdays event.

This was NOT the track to jump into with no practice! Besides my horrifying and slightly embarrasing performance I did have a hilarious moment about 3/4 through, slid into the grass and happened to just come to a halt as I bumped up onto the big orange apex bumpers. Total High center with front wheels touching but rears up in the air to spin all day long I was joking around on Ventrillo about someone giving me a nudge and to my surprise Paul came around the corner and lined er' up right behind me like a raging bull lol! Gave me a good ol punt and away we went! Hope it didnt mess up your car as I saw you in the wall the next lap ending your race!

Totally putting that into the next video

Nope, just an old-fashioned brain fart. My mind was sort of wandering and then when I came back to reality, I didn't know where I was on the track. As usual with this track, it just vanished over a hill and since it was that sharp left exiting the infield part of the track, it was too late to jump on the brakes and straight into the wall I went. Very embarrassing. Just glad I got more than halfway and got the opportunity to get some race data -- like the fact that this place is BRUTAL on tires.

Congrats to the winner. Hopefully next time I'll be around for the finish.

Edit to add a comment for Joe -- I used my Road Atlanta setup with one more click of rear wing and a slight regearing. The suspension part seems to work pretty well.

Thanks! Paul! I thought about using my Road Atlanta set but rejected it.
Will give your idea a try.

Glad you enjoyed it Martin,I gave you your place points as you were really close to the halfway mark and it being your first race with us.
BTW the WD gets quite large fields sometimes, but it was low tonight.
We need more drivers in this div but all leagues seem to be low on drivers lately,it will pick up again I quess.
