Ouch! Not the way to go out of the race, that's for sure

Looking forward to see who in the the NA or WD "saves face" for each division and who's put to shame

I was doing OK running my hard-tires and decided to pit-in with 1.5 laps of fuel going into my first/quick pit-in as I was going to double stint the hards. I came in but someone was already in the same stall (not off-center so I couldn't share its use

Tried to backup and and go around them as I had no idea how long they were parked there for or how much longer that planned on staying in the stall. 15-20 sec's later ... I decided to backup, go around and exit the pits for other re-entry attempt, hoping that who ever it was, they were all done with their fuel, tire and repair session.

Unfortunately on the last set of turn before I approached the pit entrance, I started to sputter so I knew my race was over if I could not coast my way into the pit stall. To make things worse, this episode allowed Drew to catchup to me as I'm sure he was smelling blood in my wake.

Neither worked, dead-floored it just before the pit-entrance, dead in the water, so just braked it hard into the pit entrance/barrier for booming Napoleonic ending.

    Cheers,

    Lenny

I saw some great battles out there ... should be a great replay to watch when they're all done.

Well, first of all: very sorry if I caused any of you to go off. I tried to avoid faster cars lapping me, staying out of racing line. But, the track was very unforgiving, small errors cost a lot as the side wall were unforgiving.

    Q: Ok
R: Had nice balanced setup, I was going for 2 stop race. Unfortunately, I think I visited pits about 4 times. Two times I thought that was it, but decided to hang in there and repair car - after all, this was DC race, and wanted to see if I could score some points for WD

Managed to finish 4th, but not because of superior driving, but mainly because of other peoples bad luck/accidents etc.

This was really hard race, only 4 cars managed to get to the finish, and mine was limping real bad.

Anyway, that was fun, hope you had good time, too!

    See you next time!

    /Tomi

EDIT: Checked replay this morning and didnīt see anything odd in my own driving

In third place just after halfway, everything going well when the server started it's backup and black-screened me. Caromed off one wall and then another, knocked off a wheel and car up in flames. Game over.

I've now changed the server to backup at 2 a.m.

Had a lot of fun for my first race even though a small computer glitch and speeding in the pit lane caused me to be laps down it was still a blast and I'm looking forward to more races.

Man those guys were fast, congrats to them.

Q went not bad, got past the p2s and at the back of the p1s

Then things got dark, really really dark

    ventrillo dumped
    got knocked off the server
    scrambled to get back in
lined up on grid - hit go on the green
got to the first turn and was transported back to my starting position
caught back up to Phil and Steen
Phil thought he was last car and kept trying to find a nice station to listen to and tie up his shoe so getting by him was a scary thought.

Just when i thought he had disappeared I realized it was me that blinked out.
One more lap just to be sure, hoping if i went real fast i might appear back in front of those two but instead i ended up in the popcorn tent and my weekend was done.

    Hope everyone else fared better

    Catch you guys next race.

    Default Fun while it lasted...

Was a decent drive for the first 20-some laps and then I put a tire on the grass at 174mph into the esses...wammo...lost wing and was shakin', not stirred, from the impact. Rolled around the esses turn only to hit the wall with no stability right before pit lane...lost my front right tire. Managed to spin car around and take a 158 sec pit stop , but was happy the crew would even fix the car. I was ready to get back in the game....Unfortunately, the crew must have forgotten to put radiator fluid back into the car because I made through about 4 turns before the engine blew up and I had a barbque at Moss Corner!

Looks like it was a tough night for all...sorry to see!

Nice job Drew! Every finisher made their podiums!!!!

Max, I knew you were back there. Every time I went to pass Steen his car seemed to expand. I was trying to let you have a go at it the all of a sudden you were gone. Race ended for me not too long after that when i spun trying to avoid a sideways car coming on to the front stretch. I was then clipped by some poor soul who was just minding their own business. The car seemed fine till I went to turn left and the car went mostly right. into the tires and that was it.

Congrats to the few that made it.

Lenny, I saw what happened with you and I was thinking the entire time, You have over a lap lead and you are really fast. Just sit an wait till the pit empties. You'll be fine.

Too bad you weren't on vent for me to remind you of that.
