My name is Troy Dalton, I am a part-time ISO 9000 consultant and I currently live with my wife and two children in Portsmouth, Virginia. I was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1965 and I briefly lived in Memphis. However, I spent my late teens roaming the rural Appalachian Mountains not far from Butler, Tennessee. I came to the Commonwealth of Virginia by way of the United States Navy in 1983 and fell in love with the state. The 2013 Champion Motorsports 2.4 hours of Lemans is in the books, and it was a fantastic race, with some great action and a total of 28 competitors across three classes driving a full 24 hours of simulation day to night in a 10x time scale with rFactor and Enduracers. The racing was most importantly clean and competitive across all the classes and this event is really so special and becoming a yearly staple in the CMS gold series as we start Summer.

Congratulations to our winners by class this year which are as follows, including the podium finishers.

Todd Alan brings home the win at Mid Ohio

Race seven of the Historic Series winter/spring season was hosted at the impressive Virtua LM Mid Ohio circuit. It was clear to see that the skillful historic series drivers are really settling into the Power and Glory American muscle cars. With these heavy cars, Mid Ohio's challenging sweeping corners and drastic elevation changes, means "going slow to go fast." With clear skies the Shelby Cobras were in much better spirits and more than happy to lay a patch of rubber down.

CMS " Fun" Rally Series 2013-Round 1 Recap

The first round of the CMS " Fun" Rally Series 2013, took place between 13th-19th May. the Rally was located in Finland and offered 7 gravel stages, mixed between fast flowing and technical, with good weather conditions, the drivers were able to give a 100%. Three new changes were made to the rules for 2013, (1)Only 1 class (2)No DNF anyone failing to complete a stage, would be allotted a time of the slowest Driver, plus 3 minutes.(3)Power stage, Bonus points (3-2-1) being awarded to the fastest three drivers respectively.

Stage 1. Myttaala Sprint 5.3km.

Mikey Ruder Wins the iRacing Indy 500!

Champion Motorsports would like to congratulate some excellent accomplishments from league drivers from this years 2013 iRacing Indy 500 World Tour Special event. Several drivers from CMS would participate in this years event that had 1500 iRacers taking to the famed oval for the simracing version of the Memorial Day Weekend Classic in Motorsports.

Taking a phenomenal top honors not only for CMS, but for all of iRacing in the Rookie/D Class flight was CMS Driver Mikey Ruder. Mike would finish 1st in his split, which also happened to be the top split, thus making him first place overall in the flight. A great accomplishment as Mike was the overall winner of Rookie/D out of approximately 275 drivers that ran in the event.
