Sad day for fans of this great actress who overcame so much personally to give some of the greatest performances in cinematic history.

She of course is someone that means a lot to me personally, with "The Day The Earth Stood Still" as one of my favorite movies of all time.

You know, I read the other day where Ms. Neal was once married to Roald Dahl for almost 30 years. They had 5 children together and divorced in 1983.
Roald Dahl was the author of the acclaimed "Charlie and Chocolate Factory" series of books, as well as one of my favorites I read to my son many years ago "James and the Giant Peach".
He also wrote several movie scripts including "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and also wrote for the Alfred Hitchcock TV series, an episode starring Steve McQueen and Peter Lorre.
