Hopefully it will be open to the public. I'd love to make quick trip to the Glen to see this.

I just watched this on Speed TV. At the end of the broadcast it looked like the track (which had been wet) was improving and the drivers were talking about going back out on Slicks. Does anyone know if they did and if so if video or laptimes are around? I was quite impressed with how they were both doing in each other's cars.

No they were finished and the teams were already taking down the support equipment before Tony was finished with his run. It was cold that day. Mid 50's. If Lewis wanted to experience the heritage of F1 racing at the Glen in the Fall, he got it in spades. Don't think the tires got any heat in them in either discipline. That being said, it was a lot of fun watching Lewis and Tony swap rides. Lewis went first in the Cup car and really did well blipping thru the gears and nailing it at turn 1 going up thru the esses. Looked like he really had a handle on it. Then it was Tony's turn. It seemed like he had a bit of trouble getting under way. Once underway though he was doing great, no hesitancy at all. Hitting his marks and didn't seem intimidated by F1 brakes at all. Overall both drivers acquitted themselves well. On a side note, it was fantastic listening to the McLaren screaming around the track. It will never happen, but it would be great to have F1 back at the Glen.
