Here is how you participate, so lets have some fun and get this started!
Contest Dates = Now until 10pm CST/11pm EST on Sunday December 4th
Contest Type = Hotlap
How to Win = Simply participate and submit a time, validated by CMS admins
Prizes = One Member who submits a valid time will be chosen at random at contest end to win Race Injection from Simbin, also the fastest legal time posted will have their hotlap made into a video and featured here at CMS and at www.raceroom.net

We will be doing a hotlap contest, using the time attack mode, in the recently released and 100% free race sim from Simbin called Race Room 2 - The Game. There are no catches, this is a full, free download, of a racing sim that is available to anyone that wants to download from simbin. The sim comes with 4-5 cars and 4 tracks. We will be doing a time attack hotlap event with the following car/track combo
Car - Matech GT1
Track - Laguna Seca
Time Attack Mode, Save and Submit Here at CMS and online

Everyone will need to download the RACE Room 2 - The Game, here is a download link for the product, it is 100 percent free to download and play, all you need is an ID to the Raceroom.net community -- which you may register for free at http://www.raceroom.net

How to submit your entry to the contest

1. download and install race room 2 the game on your PC
2. load up the game and run in time attack mode with the Matech GT1 car at Laguna Seca
3. Save your Time attack and you will do two things with it. The first is upload it to the official time attack rankings, but also you will need to .zip or .rar it and upload here to this thread at CMS so that we may validate your time. If you don't know how to zip or rar a file for sharing on the CMS forums, ask and we will help you. Once you complete your time attack run, you will find your time attack file for uploading at the following path on your PC:
C:\Users\yourname\Documents\SimBin\RaceRoom the Game\TIMEATTACK\Laguna_Seca
grab the file in there and upload it here to the forums in this thread.
How we will select a winner of RAce Injection at the end of the contest

At the end of the event we will take all of the entries and award two winners. The first will be the person with the best online hotlap from time attack mode. This person will have their hotlap converted to a video for sharing here on the CMS website. We will then select someone randomly that competed in the contest to award the free copy of RACE INJECTION. The reason we are doing this is that the purpose of the contest is to encourage participation. Some of us are faster and slower than others and we want everyone regardless of skill level to have a chance to win the grand prize. So, do your best, turn fast laps of course, but mainly participate and you will have a shot to win.
