The Grand Old Lady Gets a Facelift

Silverstone is the home of racing in England and hosted the first post-war Grand Prix race in 1948.

Read the history of Silverstone here.

Last year, Silverstone got a new track layout which most drivers agree was an improvement, adding a couple more good passing zones.

Let's take a lap around the new layout:

Again this session, we'll be using the LMS PC cars and following the regular schedule:

Event Schedule (All times are U.S. Central time)
    7:00 PM – 8:00 PM = Open Practice
8:00 PM – 8:30 PM = Classroom (Instructor Presentation, Roundtable, etc)
    8:30 PM – 9:00 PM = Practice
    9:00 PM – 9:15 PM = Race Qualifying
    9:15 PM – 9:20 PM = Race Warm Up
    9:20 PM – 9:40 PM = Race 1
    9:45 PM – 10:05 PM = Race 2 (Reverse Qualifying Order)
    10:05 PM – ? = Post Race Discussion

(The decision for which version of the track we'll use was just made on Saturday morning, so the track should be on the server very shortly)

See you at the track, and as always if you have any questions or comments feel free to post them.
