• CMS & TXL Join Forces for new ERA iRacing League

Beginning September 12th, Champion Motorsports will enter a new era and partner with TXL for an exciting schedule of GT3 and Formula Renault 2.0 racing!

Both leagues have ran a Pro/Am format and will continue to do so, with the cutoff point for Am being 2000 iRating - of course, each driver will be assessed since iRating is not a foolproof method.

The GT3 series races will run for 45 minutes on Wednesday nights and each car will have a fuel limit of 45% to allow for 1 pit stop. Standing starts will be utilized, with an incident limit of 17 and no fast repairs allowed.

Clean driving will still be rewarded, with 1 bonus point for finishing the race with 3 or fewer incidents, with an IMSA-style points system for the two class championships. An additional 5 bonus points will be awarded the driver with the lowest incidents at season's end.

The Formula Renault series will alternate each week with the GT3 series during the standard 12 week iRacing season. Races will start at 8pm - one hour earlier for those accustomed to CMS starts. This would mean each series would be a 6 week championship.

Future plans are to continue the GT3 series and to create a IMSA-style multi-class series.

Excitement is running high, so make sure to join Champion Motorsports and TXL to get your racing fix!

Additional information regarding both series will be posted shortly.
