NASCAR The Game 2011 - Who's going to get it?

I have been following this forum - Operation Sports - NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions - the guy obtained a full version of game for PS3 last Thursday and he said that it's the best NASCAR game on console so far - better than any of EA NASCAR.

When I saw the video of Richard Towler racing it at Auto Club - I noticed AIs are well acknowledged that you're there, they will avoid you if you move closer to them. In EA’s NASCAR series (2008 and 2009 to be specific), AI will act like you’re not there and they will door slam on you at every turns. You can see the video:



And what’s more, AI is much smarter - AI will fight for position, bump drafting at plate tracks, AI will cause some wreck (not a “cheapy crash” like they did in EA’s NASCAR series), tires will blow up, better pitstop strategy, and many more that I cannot remember.

This game seems to be a must buy for anyone who enjoy the NASCAR racing.

I am going to plan to get it -- not expecting it to be a sim by any means, but looks like a fun game and looking forward to playing on XBOX

Yes, the developers stated that it's not simulation like iRacing or rFactor, but as an entertainment. I planned to buy it in Xbox 360 version – just because I don’t have steering wheel for PS3 (uh, I DO have G25, but CST pedals will not work with PS3 and I sold the G25 pedals. Lol).

BTW, what do you think of the NASCAR 2011 game so far?

Well, in my opinion, I disliked the way they set up Microsoft steering wheel. I could't keep the vehicle straight - it kept swaying left and right. I could't even turn at Auto Club Speedway - at first, I thought it was understeered, but I was friggin' slower than AI (set at easy) and still go up the wall.

There's NO VIRTUAL MIRROR!!! I cannot see anything behind me and I hate the "crossfire" on the bottom screen. And no text subtitle on Spotter. It's almost impossible for me to drive around without knowing my surrounds.

Now it almost sounds like EA NASCAR 09 is better than NTG11 - it has better steering, got virtual mirror, and text subtitle spotter.

I'm not planning to trade it in, I will wait till they release patch #2 (they did announced it), but not much change what I wanted above.
