Hey guys, a previous commitment I had for today got pushed back to this afternoon. I can't cancel it and it may mean I can't make it back home for tonight's race.

Sorry to hear that Aaron. I would normally offer to host your room for you tonight, and I have the settings to do so, but I dont think I can race tonight either. My wife has plans for me to go see a movie tonight, and gotta keep Momma happyIs there anyone else that would volunteer to host room 2 tonight, that we could send the race settings for? - David

Fortunately we had just enough people for one room to handle. And we were miraculously free of lag for the most part. Our only casualty was that Wheelin4fun could not race. For some reason or another my lobby just does not like Wheelin. I don't understand. I sent numerous invites by he could not link up. And since Aaron wasn't able to host he elected to sit last nights race out. Very unfortunate. Maybe Wheelin might like to volunteer to host the second lobby next time if need be. Maybe if he can't join, he can host instead. I'll send him a message, in case he doesn't read this and see what he thinks of this idea.
The race went pretty smooth. No major drama that I recall. We had two amazingly smooth practice sessions. Than we had 15 for Qualifying. But we did have two dropouts for the Points race. One had to back out for some reason, but than would have gained pole position by having left the lobby, so he graciously backed out. Though I think everyone might have been ok with it. I can't recall the reason for the other dropout.
But the Points race also went pretty smoothly. First lap schmozzles aside everybody was really concentrating for the second race. It was so quiet over the airwaves. You could hear a pin drop for like 5 laps straight. Lots of close battles. A bit of paint trading hear and there, but nothing major near as I could tell. And unless I'm mistaken it looked like Chad held onto the Victory for the Points race. I held onto 2nd place from lap 2 to lap 6 but I made a mistake in the last turn before the run through the banking to the start/finish straight, and both Scott and Cam were able to capitolize on it. Two laps later Funked1 made a nice move up the inside into turn one. I held onto 5th from there. Chad maintained a sizeable gap from Scott in second place, with Cam and Funked1 following behind. Things looked a bit more troubled towards the back of the grid. Two drivers seemed to have a bit too much trouble with keeping the cars on the line. And a majorly gracious jesture from SilverCannon made an ambituous lunge inside and knocked The Dirty 6411 loose, and than Silver slowed and allowed Dirty to get back on track and their battle resumed till Dirty lost control of his AMC in turn one. Mike Maddawg also looked to have trouble with his Mustang.
All in all I think the race went well. I hope nobody was disappointed for any reason. And I'm sorry that Wheelin was not able to take part in the race. I'm frustrated that there's nothing I can do to resolve that problem. Even Silversteed was able to take part despite his previous connection problems. Yet, Wheelin's problem seems unsolvable.
And onto the next race we go, down in bright and shiny Sunset Peninsula Raceway.
Glad to hear it worked out. Also I am happy to host as a backup admin whenever you or Aaron can't make it as long as I can make it that week as well. Last night was just kind of the perfect storm on that with Aaron and I both having commitments and neither of us able to make it. Looking forward to seeing how the points and results shook out from last night ... glad it went smoothly. Thanks for all your efforts Mark!

Thanks David. I haven't even tallied the points up yet. I was gonna do that later, as I've been up allnight, which now feels like a mistake. I'm beyond tired. I had some things I wanted to do, and than I got myself wrapped up in another Borderlands marathon. Why is leveling up so cursedly addictive. And than I wanted to watch a couple of shows on the DVR. I also need to initiate some kind of a writeup for the race. Which I kinda started here, but I need to make something official, like how Aaron does it. But I'm not up to practice on doing the pics, and the presentation that Aaron has mastered.
So I should probably take a nap before I try any of that. But than I've also got a friend who gonna call me soon so we can go to a park and shoot some pics, and so he can figure out the workings on his new Sony's macro functions. Just because it's a three day weekend does not mean I need to torture myself with no sleep.
See this is an old Navy habit of mine which is dying hard. Trying to cram too much activity into a day's time. Yeah I may have done more before breakfast than most do all day, but ya can't keep that up forever. My brain however, doesn't seem to know when to quit. These all nighters are gonna be my downfall. So don't be shocked if some of my writing later seems a bit off. It'll get edited Monday after some good sleep. Hahaha!
Ahhh, I totally understand Mark, the beauty of the weeknds and having an active life with a lot of interests, so much you want to do and see and so little time to get it all in. I know what you are dealing with ...lol. It's a good problem to have though I guess. Better than being bored : )

There is, I've got the replays for the Race, Qualifyer, and Practice 2 up at my storefront. I'm having a crack at this myself. I've figured out how you do those gorgeous pics of yours. But the points table I haven't figured out yet. If you wanna do the points, and then edit them into the Recap I'm doing, that would be helpful.
