Mark Bell Big Winner in CMS Forza4 Mini Cooper Challenge at Top Gear!
Congratulations to Mark Bell for winning big tonight in the CMS Forza 4 Top Gear Mini Cooper Challenge sim event. Mark won both races in what was a very fun night and successful event for Champion. We'd like to congratulate all of the drivers for running very well and close, and extra kudos to the podium in both races, which was identical with Mark Bell 1st both events, followed by a Mike Mueller, and David Anderson.

Pictured above, Mark Bell leads the field in his very quick Mini Cooper S, with Champion Motorsports Livery. Mark would be very quick and consistent in both of the 12 laps races ... winning each time. Congrats Mark!

Here is a video of some of the action in the first of the 12 lap sprints, with Mark Bell, working through the field and leading the Mini's through Top Gear Chicago and Hammer Head, great action!!!
and here is the start of race number 2, with David Anderson getting a great jump off the line and the field racing in the opening moments of the event.

Hey Guy's,
I had a blast last night. Congrats to Mark, I just couldn't get him in the end. I hope we schedule One (1) of these a week, took about an hour for two races. One thing I would really like to fix is the Mic issue. If anyone sees anything on the internet regarding this, please let me know.
Cheers,
mj

I agree Mike, lots of fun and I too had a very inconsistent microphone situation. I use the basic, el-cheapo headset that comes with any xbox. Do you guys use anything better than that? The feedback I was getting was enough to make me take off the headset in the 2nd race. - David

Man, I really wish I could have participated. Looks like fun! I know that a lot of guys don't even use a headset with XBOX because of the issues you mentioned. In some forums online Forza racing was referred to as "silent racing" because almost no one uses a mic/headphones.

That was fun, even if it was a bit disaster with no prep, getting on at the last minute, and then setting my volume to where I could hear people over the game sound, then having to mute the whole game since my volume was set to "kill" when the feedback started.
The first race I got kid aggro, and since I was way far behind I just took a pit stop
The second went about as expected since I had never run that car, and only ran about 5 laps on that track haha
I think it was David that was echoing so bad, everyone was echoing a bit, but when I muted David, most of it went away. You get the echoing from either having voices set to come out of your speakers, or having your headset volume cranked way up, the sound actually travels thru the boom and the mic picks it up.
Also everyone muting their mics during the race will kill this too.
I was using a new headset last night and I have never hooked up the mic to my xbox, so I did not get that setup in time which is why I was mic-less.

I wouldnt be surprised if it was something on my end on the echo, sorry about that guys, I will have to look into how I can make sure my Mic situation is all buttoned up.

That was so much fun. Can't wait for the next event. I gotta say Mike gets the Lewis Hamilton Max Pressure award for race Two. Now I know what Seb Vettel felt like at Barcelona this year. It was everything I could do to hold onto to the lead. I was sure he was gonna dive inside in the second to last corner, and have the edge for Gambon. From my perspective it looked like he was bungied to my bumper from Chicago to Gambon on the last lap.

That was alot of fun. Best online experience I've ever had on Forza. Thanks David for hosting and hope to be there for the next one.

Hey Mark,
Yeah, this was an epic race for me. I was catching up early, but had a big slide in turn 1 and had to take the rest of the race to try and catch back up. I could have dove down in second to last turn, but I'm not that kind of racer. I like to race as if I owned the car. No cheap tricks. Was a Great, Great race for me.
DID YOU SEE THIS!!!!
Forza Motorsport 4
ALMS FERRARI 458 GT2
AUDI TDI R15++
AWESOME!!

I saw that! I think at this point I am going to go ahead and buy the season pass, I have been spending a lot of time with Forza so I might as well get the pass and hope for the best. The two packs so far don't really do it for me, but I have a strong urge to own the content anyway
