Forza 4 Tips and Tricks

I found a couple things that are well hidden, but very useful. Post yours too!


Car groups

You can group the cars you use most so that they show up all in one spot, at the beginning of your garage display. To do this go to:

1) Play Career -> Cars -> My Cars -> Grid View
2) Using right trigger (multiselect) select all the cars you want to move to a group, selected cars will be denoted with an orange marker
3) After you have selected cars, hit "A"
4) Select create new group (or move to an existing group)

Now your cars will show up grouped together, very handy to organize a large garage!


Friends Storefronts

I search people's storefronts a lot and it is always a pain using the search feature. I stumbled across a way to go directly to your friend's storefronts

1) Community -> Storefront -> My storefront
2) Hit "Y" (My Details) -> View Friends
3) Select the friend whose storefront you want to see and you will go directly to it.

No more gamertag searching!

Thank you Smokee! That's a real stress reliever.

One other thing I'd like to point out that's helped me with car handling on these muscle cars is pulling up the friction indicator. This helps to give extra feedback. The area of the circle I'm assuming is the patch area the tire makes contact with the road. If the yellow bar/power indictor exceeds the area of the circle you'll lose traction and skid off.

And we're glad you did. I've all our Trans Am's lined up right in the front of my car list. How cool is that. No I need to exert no effort at all. I can jump right into a TA and start doing some testing. No sorting through the menus. Next will be the 50's/60's GT's. Which is another series I'm thinking about for later this year perhaps.

If you don't have the season pass or certain dlc cars and packs and are sick of seeing that black VW Bora when someone is driving a dlc car you don't have go to each monthly car pack and download the free car in each pack. Voila, no more Bora any more. What you are actually doing when you download the free car is downloading the whole pack. You just don't have the unlock to drive the other cars though.

Ah, cool trick. I have the seasons pass, but this will come in handy when Porsche launches since I don't plan on buying that pack.

The first annoying thing that I turned off, was the Drift and Turn score bars on the left side. Distracted me every time it popped up. How do you turn it off? Easy. From the Main Menu, select Play Career, My Profile, Options, HUD, scroll ALL the way down till you see "Race Feats". Just turn that OFF and thats it! No more annoying turn or drift bars!

Another tip I recommend is to turn off the in-game music. Do this by setting its volume to 0. Much easier to hear the nice details in the sound of the engine or hear your friends talking in the lobby. IF youre using in-game chat, that is.
