CMS Presents: Mt. Fuji Rally! A series of point to point races thru the twisty mountains in WRC-spec cars at Fujimi Kaido.

    Wednesday, November 23rd
    Practice: 6:30pm Pacific/9:30pm Eastern
    Race: 7pm Pacific/10pm Eastern

The race aims to replicate a tarmac rally with A-class cars, open tuning/upgrades, but a 350HP limit. This is very close to a WRC spec car where all parts of the car are open to modify, but there is a limit on HP (modern WRC cars make around 330-340hp). This format will also allow classic rally cars to be brought up to modern performance levels. The rally will consist of 2 legs totaling 8 "Special Stages" and the winner is the person with the lowest overall time across all stages.

Please sign up in this thread and add "enamel" to your friends list for race invite.

    Car restrictions:
    A Class
    <= 350HP
    Production cars
    AWD drivertrain
    Front engine placement
    4 cylinder motors

    Race info:
    Ghost cars
    Simulation damage/steering/etc.
    No aids allowed

    Prizes:
    1st: 50,000 credits
    2nd: 25,000 credits
    3rd: 10,000 credits

    Roadbook:

    Leg 1:
    SS1: Stage A
    SS2: Stage B
    SS3: Stage C
    SS4: Stage D

    Leg 2:
    SS5: Stage D Reverse
    SS6: Stage C Reverse
    SS7: Stage B Reverse
    SS8: Stage A Reverse

    Leg 3:
    SS9: New Hillclimb
    SS10: Old Downhill

    Driver Briefing:
This event has very specific car restrictions, so please ensure you build your car accordingly to meet the restrictions. I have found that even if your car is at 350HP, it will sometimes not be allowed in the race. I highly recommend targeting 349HP, or testing a 350HP car before the night of the event to ensure it qualifies.

I have also put 4 cars that were built for this event in the Club Garage, and the tunes on my storefront. I am more than willing to gift these tunes if you message me, my gamertag is "enamel".

Please double and triple check, and test in an online race that your car will meet the restrictions before the event!

    Count me in too!

I'm not great at rally driving, but I'm willing to give it a go.

Enamel you mentioned cars in the club garage? Can I use one to practice with? Or so I have to build my own?

You should be able to use these to practice with, however they may be locked. I can gift you the tunes I used and if you buy a car you can just apply the tune/upgrade to it and adjust it to your liking.

The cars in the the garage are:
    Ford Fiesta
    Mitsubishi Evo X
    Subaru STI
    Lancia Delta HF Integrale

Aaron, maybe try to send an xbox live message to all of the guys in the CMS Club, and tell them about the event --- the date could be part of the issue - DA

I will go thru and add everyone in the club, I did send a message to those that have raced in our first 2 races (minus 3 people I did not have on my list for some reason).

I will spam peeps again this weekend.

I'm game, gonna have to find time to build up a car. But I'll have a whirl cause I love Rally cars. I love cars in general, why nitpick. I've got the rules on the build down, and that makes it fun. I love trying to squeeze speed out of a restricted car. Gotta find something fun to drive.

So I'm good to go with my Escort RS Cosworth?

Also, how's this gonna work? Are we all gonna hotlap together? Are we supposed to build up our best times on those stages, and then compare the ghosts on raceday? Given the difference in race type from the last two, I'm afraid I don't understand how this will work. Explain it to me like I'm a hobbit.
