Default Anyone seriously considering the Fanatec wheel?

...now that the CSR Elite is actually shipping, anyone else seriously considering buying one? Anyone get the Forza CSR wheel at launch? this used M$ Wheel is killing me! The wheel is acceptable IMO, but the pedals suck! No calibration is killing me - i let off the gas and end up with 60% brakes. They work as single axis too so left foot braking is useless (sigh)

I wouldn've ordered one already, but I don't have anything to attach it to - I'm trying to finagle a second hand Playseat and then my excuses go away.... Planning on making this my xmas present to myself. CSRE+70" tv might ease the pain of not having a Simcraft Apex in the garage anymore.

I bought the Forza CSR Wheel at launch with the Clubsport pedals, and I really like it. Big improvement over the MS FF wheel. - David

I'm going to buy myself a wheel for Christmas. Would you buy the CSR & Clubsport over a G27? The reason I ask is that for some reason I was under the impression that you were still using a G27 even though you have the CSR. Don't remember what gave me that impression though.

I like the Fanatec Pedals much better than the G27 pedals, but I like the G27 wheel better than the Fanatec Wheel to be honest, so what I would recommend, consider is using the G27 wheel with either the stock G27 pedals + Nixim Mod, or the Load Cell aftermarket Mod, or buying the Fanatec Pedals to go with the G27 wheel, which is the combination I am currently using. I am using the G27 wheel with the Fanatec Pedals. I also have a Thrustmaster t500 RS which is an awesome combo as well, but I use it primarily for iRacing at the moment. The t500RS wheel and pedals is the best together, combo I think you can get that I have tried for force feedback. Hope this helps.

The CSR. Is that the wheel with the glitch people are talking about on the Forza forums?

Probably so Jeff, there is a glitch in the wheel where if you use 900 degrees of rotatoin, ocassionally you will get zero credits after a race in Forza. I am hoping either Fanatec or Turn10 fix it with a patch, update of some sort, DA

Just read through some of the post's. Looks like T10 has acknowledged the issue. Also looks like tuning the wheel to 270 will take away the bug? Some unhappy people for sure.

I actually don't hate the M$ wheel, but huge huge issues with the pedals. Lack of calibration inside Forza really doesn't help.

The CSR-E wheel is radically different from the CSR. Any set of pedals I'm thinking would be an upgrade from what I've got. Anything less than Todd Cannon pedals feel toyish to me anyway - I just need em to not suck.

the T500's pretty darn nice, but I don't think XBX supports it, does it? The fact the CSR-E has most the features of other wheels in this price segment and it's compatable with darn near everything makes it a little more attractive. I might even get back to iRacing once I buy another laptop to run it. Or not... Freetime is at a HUGE premium at the moment...pick up n play is about all I can do at the moment

Still....tough to drop 700 coins on an xbox controller. Anyone got something good they wanna sell?
