Champion Motorsports Presents our 2nd Gold Series Race of 2012, March 10th at Sebring International, using rFactor and the Enduracers Sp2 mod, for ALMS Style Racing, all benefiting "Racing for Val" and our Good Friend Val Hoggard from the CMS Community who is currently battling cancer. Details for the event, how to race, what you need, and most importantly how you will be supporting Val are all in this thread!


Sign-ups

To Sign-up please post in this thread with your name and your preferred car class. You must use your first/last name in the event, and you can choose from any of the 5 classes of cars. The choices are LMP1, LMP2, LMPC, GT1, and GT2.
Entries will be limited for this race. We will take as many entries as posted here on the forums, but on race day the server will be setup and limited to the first 45 connecting due to rFactor scalability and track grids and stalls.

Race Details

-Date: March 10th 2012
-sim/mod rFactor with Enduracers Sp2 Mod
-practice starts at 3pm CST (-6GMT)
-GT Class Qualifying at 3:30pm CST
-Prototype Qualifying at 3:50pm CST
-Warmup at approximately 4:10pm CST
-Green Flag at approximately 4:20 CST (2 hour race distance)
-Start Type = Manual Pace Lap, controlled by pole sitter (see drivers meeting notes for details)
-Classes (5) LMP1, LMP2, LMPC, GT1, GT2
-Weather Clear
-Time Acceleration - this years race will be run in the daytime only 2 hours realtime accel
-Damage =75%
-Fuel/Tire Usage = normal
-Auto Clutch, Auto Gears and Traction Control Will be Allowed

Racing for Val - Charity

We are very excited to announce that for this race Champion Motorsports will make a donation to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research on behalf of our good friend and CMS member Val Hoggard. For every single lap which is completed in the race, we will donate 5 cents. So the laps will add up quickly and at the end of the race we will make a count of the number of laps completed by all of the cars. From there we will make a donation on Val and CMS behalf to the foundation. So, let's get some sign-ups in this event, race clean and hard as Val would want us to and make a great donation to charity on his part. Note if drivers would like to co-donate and make a matching or similar contributoin to the charity it will be encouraged but not required.
