    Charles,

Thanks for the setup. I'll probably use this as a qually setup. It works great until the tires get a few laps on them, then the front end goes away on me. I'm using the older version for the race and I think I can stay in the 28's most of the time with it.

I don't know about everyone else, but I have a heck of a time getting this car to the apex. I just have to keep backing everything up until I can get it there. I think iRacing must have made some changes because I had the tail out a couple of times today and actually caught it. Before, it was always a wreck.

The FGT got the newest version of the NTM which has hugely improved low speed cornering, catching slides, and overall feel of the car.

For certain corners though i need to trailbrake a bit more to get the car to apex. Specifically - T1, T2/T3 sequence, T10 & T11.

When i last tested i did a 15 lap stint. Only once i went over 27's when i got distracted and went off in T4, missed the turn in and nearly totaled it. I've gotten down into the 25's on hot laps with fresh tires and full fuel. Though the tires do seem to fall off a bit - when i back up the corners just a little and keep it smooth it handled very well through the stint and maintained high 26's low 27's. My fastest laps coming between laps 7-12. After the stint my tire wear was very good - no less than 96% anywhere.

I feel this particular track is very tough in the FGT though. Very narrow - very low tolerance for mistakes (missed braking points, turn-in etc). Also the bumps in the tracks make for some very tough braking zones. I even have a specific line i use on the back straight to avoid bumps. When you miss those brake markers and turn in the car plows VERY bad.

I wish i was better with setups - im really just winging it with what feels good to me lol. If i can ill try to do a little tutorial for a lap with commentary.

I must be pushing the entry too hard and overworking the fronts. Then I have to wait and wait for the front end to hook up before I can get on the gas. I have a lot of work to do to get to the times you're running.

Ya, waiting for the front to hookup and throttle out of the corner seems very important on this track - i feel it a lot in most of the corners. Its very noticable in turns T2/T3 - right at the apex i can feel the car dip and then i know the front is hooked up and WOT out of the corner. If i miss it and push out/have to adjust i lose a ton of time immediately.

I doubt im going to be able to do any video with commentary but ill put up a new replay of a decent lap tonight with the new setup.

I am running mid to high 1:28's with Charles setup, it's really all about smooth in this car and slow in fast out, I don't feel confident in the car though at this point in practice, so I need a lot of laps to get my braking smoother. I am also trying some new wheel settings, so double adjustment

Looking at the 2 tracks coming up I think Phillip Island will be will be great with the Ford GT. I have not tested the Ford GT at Laguna yet... I think that will be a whole other story...it will be crazy. The "Corkscrew" is going to be tough. I might have to use a corkscrew to get ready for this one.
