    Default Historics Winter Season Race 3 - Donington '38 - Feb 25

Join us on Sunday February 25 for the third event in the Historics 2017 Winter Season - Donington '38.

Come experience the pre-war beginnings of Donington! You'll hardly recognize the place!

This event will be standing start. AC now allows gear selection before the green, but be aware that it also allows (and penalizes) false starts! So don't go before the green!

We will run 1x fuel, and pits stops are not required.

The server is set for 2 minutes between the Qualifying session expiring and the start of the race. Be sure to check the remaining time when the session advances so as not to get caught out.

The Orange Zone for this event will be through Coppice.

    Race Schedule
    Practice: 8-8:45 p.m. Central Time (US) - 45 min
    Qualify: 8:45-9:00 p.m. Central Time (US) – 15 min
    Warmup: 9:00-9:05 p.m. Central Time (US) - 5 min
    Race: 9:05 p.m. Central Time (US) - 60 min

Note that AC supports timed races, so the lap count will not be pre-determined.

This track activated the FFB quite a bit to simulate the primitive road surface. I know FFB doesn’t always work the same for everybody, so you might want to check it out ahead of time; let us know if you have any trouble.

Yeah, the bumpiness might be a bit overdone on this track, if anyone has issues then reducing the road effects in the game options should help.

Haha...this track is bumpy and i dont use ffb.....but the track is awesome. Things not heard learning a track these days: "accelerate hard between the farm buildings, avoiing the haybale on the left" or "the track winds thru the left arch of the aqueduct"... safety is so sterile....

There's a cattle gate somewhere too...
Got to love the arch though, it's as crazy as it gets.

    So, here Im again...
End of daylight savings in Brazil this past weekend, and now the time is very bad for me to take part.
It will be even worse when daylight savings starts in USA next month. Races starting too early for me.

Ideally, I need those races to start 2 hours later than the current schedule. So no chance.
Im atm an Uber driver, so I have to make crazy and unconventional schedules, work during the weekends, to earn some money to pay my bills.

I dont think I will make it to those remainings rounds, unfortunately.

Im sorry, and good luck everyone. Have fun.
Was really fun while it lasted for me.

Sorry to hear that Angelo, I was just going to say I'm planning to run in the series again.

I'm not an Uber driver and I will be coming in without much preparation. Tried the lotus for about 15 min 2 days ago,
it is manageable I think for me even with min amount of practice time. But if anybody has any pointers in setup department
it would help pointing me in the right direction. I don't need any setups just tell me what this car likes, or doesn't like!
I will be going for stable handling with neutral-oversteer.
Thanks in advance, see you guys tomorrow.

    Oh no!
Simracing has to take the backseat sometime, it happens.

For the setup, I'm running very low diff settings, soft dampers front, stiff rear.
Springs Stiff front front w reasonnable amount of ARB (not too much becomes understeery)
    No arb rear, medium springs.

Not easy to find a balanced setup in all situations. The rear can spin on you quite easily.

Tires wear tends to be worst at the rear.

Thank you Pat, more than enough info to do a quick setup and go from there.
